Professor Shafi Ahmed is a humanitarian that cares passionately about global health and inequality. He has visited over 30 countries including war zones and works with organisations to help combat medical crisis on a worldwide scale.
Lives in Gaza have been turned upside down due to ongoing conflict and recent air strikes. Professor Shafi Ahmed and his team pulled together to provide people and children in need with basic food and aid packages. Providing life saving care and helping people to rebuild their livelyhood; our focus is on priority needs such as shelter, bedding and food products. Resources in Gaza are under stress due to lack of medical supplies and staff shortages, every little bit we can do helps a family in need.

In April, 2019 the first surgical master class was implemented in Gaza at the Shifa Hospital. Lectures were followed by a live surgery which were relayed live to the classroom for students to learn from.
